Big money in parked domains, once again

Back in October 2005 NetCraft predicted the domain parking industry shakeout, however, with the big players involved in domain parking game, the industry continues to grow. Looking at the number of newly registered domains over the past 6 months, a small outfit DomainCar from Panama, who owns and operates millions of parked domains like my-name-server.com, experienced the highest growth, registering more domains than registrars GoDaddy, directNIC, Yahoo! Web Hosting and 1&1.

Money is in parking, eh? Then the registrars must not be charging enough.

There are still plenty of good domain names available for those who are willing to use extended characters.

Okay, I admit char values that can’t be hit from a Western European (read U.K. or U.S.) keyboard without key combos are going to suffer from low native traffic for a while. But, googlebot doesn’t choke on extended characters and given time, neither will typists.
