AdWords Clever Wizard is a keyword analysis/suggestion tool that every online marketer running a PPC campaign should have. This tool comes with monthly keyword use statistics, KEI (keyword effectiveness index) and keyword suggestion tool (synonyms and equivalent terms). The software also shows an amount of advertising blocks on different search engines and therefore allows to quickly estimate the competition.
With AdWords Clever Wizard, any search engine marketer can quickly find keyphrases that generate most traffic or their less popular but cheaper alternatives. All picked keywords/keyphrases can be exported; the program also supports multiple projects, which is essential for running several different PPC campaigns.

How come telemarketers are always human, and the support lines for most companies are now automated with “If you’re a current customer, press 1″ type of messages, making it impossible to reach a person within the organization, and creating an image of faceless virtual corporations being run by a mainframe somewhere? New York Times says that not only it’s a problem to get a human being on the other end of the support line lately, but also companies prefer not to publish their phone numbers, referring customers to the Web site.

In the action movies the bad guy is frequently told to disappear or get lost. According to LA Times, this is not as easy to do as it seems. The GPS systems are everywhere - in Sprint cell phones, new cars and in standalone devices. Worrying parents, gadget freaks, outside sports enthusiasts and suspecting spouses are driving the GPS surveillance market to new heights.
A new generation of relatively cheap GPS-equipped devices can tell others too — allowing people for the first time to keep constant tabs on their rebellious teens, wandering spouses or loafing employees.

Don’t forget to take a trip to Home Depot to improve the wireless security. Force Field Wireless sells buckets of aluminum- and copper-laced paint designed to prevent the 802.11 packets from escaping the building, Information Week reports. The article also talks about the Force Field’s pitch to the government in order to improve the homeland security, but the only governments that got interested in anti-Wi-Fi paint were from the Middle East. According to the products page, they also sell the brush sets.

D_back 1.51 is a very likely candidate to hold the title “World’s most straightforward backup utility”. After a person selects the most critical data to have a reserve copy of, the program will create backups automatically on a daily basis (though other time increments may be selected). No complicated setup or overwhelming options.
D_back 1.51 can place a reserve copy onto any type of media - hard-drive, network drive, removable drive, CD or DVD, floppy, file server (via FTP). If a user does not know what FTP is, backed up data may be e-mailed. It has a built-in dial up option for users with a modem.
The backup file format is ZIP, though, if other compression agents are installed, they can be used as well. Naturally, a demanding user will find more backup options after closely investigating the program, but the main advantage of D_back 1.51 is that it can be configured once and forgotten about after that. The program will quietly continue doing what it’s supposed to do without prompting any actions by the user.

International Hearld Tribune tells companies to look out for open source in their closed source products. If one’s busted with violating the terms of GPL, the company could be forced to open up the codebase for the product. The news might also attract some litigation vultures, who might claim you’re using their property. How widespread is the practice?
Software developers working on “value-added” applications routinely borrow pieces of open-source code as building blocks for such functions as encryption, security or platform interfacing. Offshore programmers for American companies have become especially adept at grabbing lines of open-source code and mixing them with proprietary code in progress.
