What was supposed to start at 9 am got pushed to 10 am, giving everybody an additional chance to register, and then the fire marshalls wanted to expect the conference rooms, so hundreds of geeks suddenly needed to roam the hallways of Riviera for a little bit. Not too many gamblers in the crowd apparently, probably too much Math education.
On the bright side, the weather in Vegas is tolerable, and the new monorail is running quite smoothly. You can stay pretty much anywhere on the Strip (the first station is at MGM Grand) and the Hilton station would get you to Riviera.
