DefCon Chronicles: open malware analysis

ValSmith of MetaSploit just introduced OffensiveComputing.net, and open database of malware for community research. The numbers quoted implied that only 20% of the existing viruses and malware are detected between the antivirus vendors. Combine all of the vendors together, and 68% of malware is detected. The site is an attempt to foster the mutual collaboration between the commercial antivirus vendors and academic community.
