Watching DVDs on HDMI upconverting DVD player and 42″ LCD HDTV with HDMI support via composite input-output never seemed like a smart idea, so I shopped around a little bit for an HDMI cable. The universe of HDMI cables might be a bit perplexing to the novice as some similar-looking products that help you connect device A and device B range in prices from a few bucks to $150. Finding this 6 foot cable on Amazon from a third-party seller was a bit of a risk, but the cable arrived today and it works great.
