EdgeIO, an aggregator of online classifieds and any blog postings you tag with the word listing, is now open to public. The geographical slider is very neat, and allows you to discover more listings, as you move it to cover larger area. The company was originally presented on February searchsig at Google. The job search looks like it is powered by KarmaOne, and there’s no Craigslist data in the system, and there’s a question of whether it will ever be. Keith Teare announced the launch on his blog, with Om Malik writing a post on it right after launch, raising some obvious concerns such as spamming.
