Hell’s Kitchen this year is a bit trashier than previous season. The demands are even higher, since the top prize is ownership of a restaurant in Red Rock in Las Vegas. The contestants, however, seemed to be pre-qualified for a Jerry Springer type of daytime TV, and therefore there’s much more backstabbing and personal fights that pulls the contestants away from the actual game. However, the tension and Chef Ramsay in the kitchen are much better. Not that this is an indicator, but I haven’t seen another reality show, where the contestant left on an ambulance in Episode 1 being under too much stress. Gordon Ramsey is definitely doing his best this season, the contestants are a bit subpar compared to the first Hell’s Kitchen.
