Well, it didn’t take that long for Google Base to become the prime destination for spamming the unsuspecting public for the heck of it. Any commercially viable search right now generates a list of items with referral IDs of various affiliate programs.
Someone probably will take up Greg on the idea of “uploading all of Amazon.com’s RSS feeds but inserting an associate tag into the URL”. I suppose it’s a great project to do while reading that Amazon Hacks book I got from Jeremy.
