39% of Web users delete cookies on a regular basis, mostly via anti-spyware tools, and that doesn’t bode well with the advertisers and ad networks. United Virtualities now advertises a system where a copy of the profile is stored in Flash, which has its own profiling system, independent of the browser cookie storage. This way if a cookie is deleted, it will be restored from Macromedia Flash cache. Instructions for turning off Local Shared Objects in Flash are available from Macromedia Web site.
