VOIP buyer’s guide

Folks from TechRepublic published a pretty good overview of things to consider before buying a VOIP product. Their buyer’s guide is targeted towards a business purchase, but if you’ve been thinking of getting a residential VOIP line, it’s a useful guide as well. Their main points?

  • Know the protocols
  • Make sure the firewalls will work
  • Make sure security is taken care of
