You, Me and Dupree was an ok movie, if you like Owen Wilson. Granted, his acting is pretty good, and for some parts of the movie just his appearance makes the comic effect. Matt Dillon capitalizes once again on his successful-looking jerk persona that he displays in every single movie he’s in. Overall the movie lacks a story a little bit, you can see the script writers struggling to come up with a good event development, while the movie itself is more of a character development story. For the fans of Owen Wilson this will probably be a landmark movie, since the Dupree character is eclectic of so many of his previous characters.
